New permanent exhibition in Argenteuil

Updated: Sep 29

🇬🇧This morning, with great joy, we inaugurated the Robert Desnos Media Library in Argenteuil, which now hosts a permanent exhibition of my photographs.

For several weeks, I walked the streets of the Val d’Argent Nord neighborhood, meeting residents and creating this series of portraits that highlight all the communities present, the local multicultural richness, and the spirit of living together.

This project allowed me to meet warm and generous people, who posed for me—sometimes with timidity, sometimes with curiosity, but always with great kindness.

I am delighted that this exhibition will remain permanently in the beautiful setting offered by the municipality and its Mayor, Mr. Georges Mothron, whom I thank, along with his teams from the departments of culture, communication, and his office.

And above all, my deepest gratitude goes to the residents of this neighborhood, and for the kind compliments you made about my work this morning !

This exhibition and its inauguration were held under the high patronage of Mrs. Rachida Dati, Minister of Culture, and in the presence of Mrs. Marie-Christine Cavecchi, President of the Val-d’Oise Department, and Mrs. Florence Portelli, Vice-President of the Île-de-France Region in charge of culture, heritage, and creation, as well as Mr. Cyril Alavoine, Sub-Prefect of Argenteuil, and the writer Mr. Yasmina Khadra, whom I warmly thank for their presence.

I hope many of you will come discover my photographs, month after month, in this city of Argenteuil, which once welcomed so many great artists, from Monet to Manet!
