In Da Hood
In the Val d’Argent Nord neighborhood of Argenteuil, just outside Paris, I wandered through the streets to meet its residents,
a mosaic of cultures living among Bauhaus-style towers and abundant greenery.
Caribbeans, Tamils, Italians, Togolese, Ukrainians, Malians, Moroccans, Chinese, Vietnamese, Beninese, Tunisians,
Turks, Indians, Algerians, Ivorians—the diversity here is striking.
While drug trafficking sometimes disturbs the calm, the town hall works actively to improve daily life.
Above all, I discovered a community full of warmth and resilience:
people who share, cultivate flowers and tomatoes, guide the youth through sports, and pass on values of solidarity and respect.
This series is on permanent exhibition in the city of Argenteuil, at the Robert Desnos Media Library, since September 2025.
