Abuja, November 2024 – Children Beyond the War, a powerful documentary by French photographer Gregory Herpe and his son, Arthur Herpe, has been officially selected for the Zuma International Film Festival in Abuja, Nigeria. This marks the second official festival selection for the documentary, which sensitively explores the lives and resilience of Ukrainian war refugee orphans and Moldovan social orphans.
Filmed in Moldova in collaboration with local associations, Children Beyond the War offers an intimate and moving look at these children’s experiences, capturing their stories with humanity and compassion.
Following its first exhibition in Paris, the documentary continues to gain international recognition for its impactful storytelling.
The Zuma International Film Festival’s selection further highlights the universal relevance of the film’s themes of migration, memory, and resilience, bringing attention to these young lives beyond the headlines.
