Here is the video documentary that my son Arthur Herpe and I co-directed and produced around our humanitarian reportage in Moldova, with Ukrainian war refugee children and Moldovan orphans.
In October 2023, we travelled to Moldavia and the autonomous territory of Gagauzia to teach photography to these children in several local associations that take them in and take them in. It was a marvellous human experience.
Sharing with these children who have suffered so much was very enriching for everyone, and they showed a lot of motivation, creativity and joy!
Arthur and I were delighted to be able to feel useful and bring a little comfort to these children.
Their work, ours and this documentary will be shown in several exhibitions in different capitals, without distinction, to put us all on an equal footing and showcase the children.
Yesterday evening was the opening of the first exhibition, at the Cultural Centre of the Ukrainian Embassy in Paris.
In the former mansion of Alain Delon and Romy Schneider!
Then followed exhibitions in Vienna, Brussels, Chisinau, etc.
