International Dance Day 2023

Professional dancer Shanna LeFleur once said, “It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer.” From Henri Matisse’s Fauvist interpretation of dance, to JR’s installation at the Lincoln Center created in collaboration with dancers from the New York City Ballet, visual artists have been inspired by dancers for centuries. April 29th marks International Dance Day around the world.

For this collection, Singulart showcasing works that depict the joy of dance whether through hyper realistic representation, conceptual mark-making, transcribed movements, or photographic documentation.
