Somewhere in the middle of the Nile., Egypt.

Two children row and fish from a small boat in the middle of the Nile, hoping to bring back a catch to feed their family or share with friends.

For them, the river is more than a source of life; it is an extension of the street, another place to work, play and survive.

In Egypt, life unfolds as much on the water as it does on the crowded streets along its banks. The Nile is not merely a river to be admired, but a living space where generations of Egyptians have built their daily lives, often with very little.
