Edfu, Egypt.
Surrounded by hieroglyphs that have witnessed the passing of millennia, the temple guardian keeps looking up, as though he can never quite believe the beauty above him. Perhaps, despite the years spent here, the ancient gods still have the power to captivate him.
Or perhaps he knows something we have forgotten: that some places are too extraordinary to ever become ordinary.
Even those who guard their secrets cannot help but marvel at them.
