Kom Ombo, Egypt.
This photograph captures the dignity and timeless strength of a man rooted in a powerful historical setting.
The temple is dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile-headed god.
I wanted to emphasize the contrast between the past, engraved in stone, and the living, proud presence of this man.
Proud of his history, of his country and his ancestors; proud to be part of it all.
Without a word, he accepted my gaze, as though he understood why I wanted to take this photograph. To pass something on, always... A story, a message, an emotion.
