A giant iceberg of immaculate white salt, resting beneath the warm Mediterranean sun… At the Es Trenc salt flats, I was struck by the extraordinary spectacle of nature at its most sculptural.
Against the brilliant blue of the Mallorcan sky, the salt mounds rise like fragments of an Arctic landscape, their pure white surfaces shaped into unexpected forms. A play of textures, curves and contrasts, where the mineral world reveals all its raw beauty.
For a fleeting moment, I felt transported thousands of miles away, to the frozen expanses of the Far North. An almost surreal sensation, where Mediterranean light meets the silent majesty of the Arctic, creating a landscape suspended between two worlds.
