Little girl from the NGO ‘Toutes à l'école’, founded by journalist Tina Kieffer, in Cambodia.This is where little girls who have suffered (orphans, victims of rape or prostitution rings) are given an education and a new hope and joy in life.
This photo was the favourite in the series by the great American photojournalist Stanley Greene, who advised Gregory Herpe to always use it to finish his Cambodian reportage.
The reportage from which this photo is taken won 3 awards at the IPA (International Photography Awards), categories Social Cause, Children, and Portraits, New-York, USA, 2016.
I travelled to Cambodia at the invitation of French journalist Tina Kieffer to do a black and white report on her NGO ‘Toutes à l'école’.
