Ystad, Sweden.
In this photograph, I capture the serene juxtaposition of picturesque, colourful cabins nestled between the lively whispers of beach grass and stoic pine trees. The contrasting colours and rustic textures evoke a sense of tranquil isolation. The Baltic Sea is just beyond this grassy field.
Each hut, unique yet harmonious in the landscape, symbolises our personal retreats from the world - spaces for reflection and peace.
This work invites viewers to immerse themselves in the simplicity and beauty of isolation, bringing a calm, grounded energy to their surroundings.
Ystad is a small port town at the southern tip of Sweden.
It is located in Skåne, on the Baltic Sea, around 60 km from Malmö and 80 km from Copenhagen. It is also the city where the action of Commissioner Wallander's investigations (books and TV series) takes place.
