Battambang, Cambodia.
Cambodia is home to an extraordinarily rich and diverse wildlife, including the Siamese crocodile, a critically endangered species. Encountering these remarkable reptiles is always a fascinating experience, a rare opportunity to come face to face with creatures that seem to have stepped straight out of prehistoric times.
Slow-moving and seemingly indifferent to the world around them, they nevertheless possess a formidable power that commands respect.
I find them strangely beautiful, almost sculptural. Their rugged skin, powerful silhouettes and ancient features make them incredibly photogenic subjects.
Through my lens, I am drawn to this unexpected beauty, to the lines and textures of an animal that is as fascinating to observe as it is essential to protect.
