What a pleasure to meet one of my collectors in Germany!
German director and producer of documentaries (ARD, WDR, ZDF, ARTE, 3sat) Konstanze Burkard made me the good surprise to come and see my exhibition in Paris.
A good opportunity to meet a faithful fan of my work and collector since last year.
Konstanze made an incredible and touching documentary about the world-famous writer and Egyptian feminist Nawal El Saadawi that I recommend.
She was born, where she too had to endure the terrible experience of genital mutilation. El Saadawi’s striking biography encompasses more than eight decades of contemporary Egyptian history outliving dramatic social and political ruptures. Original quotations from Nawal El Saadawi’s autobiographical works being woven in our documentary observations create a vivid dramaturgical interplay between past and present.
