Luxor, Egypt
Stroll through centuries-old sites, and in the distance, catch a glimpse of the Coca-Cola sign in the middle of the Luxor site...
The old stone columns precede the aluminium one of the famous American hamburger king.
This shot evokes the essence of time and memory, past and present.

Located on the right bank of the Nile, around 700 km south of Cairo and 300 km north of Aswan, Luxor is the ancient Egyptian city of Thebes. It is one of Egypt's most popular tourist sites. Its temple, linked to that of Karnak by a dromos, a long walkway lined with sphinxes, was built in the 14th century BC during the reign of Amenhotep III. It was subsequently modified by the pharaoh Ramses II, who added 6 monumental statues and 2 obelisks, one of which, donated to France in 1831, now adorns the Place de la Concorde in Paris.
