Marstal, island of Ærø, Denmark.
Situated in the southern part of the Fionie archipelago on the Baltic Sea, it is just 30km long and has a population of 6,000, divided into three small towns and a few villages, as well as farms.
Ærø has one of the largest solar energy infrastructures in the world, with a surface area of 18,365 m2, and is considered one of the world leaders in this field.
It is the only island in the Baltic not connected to the mainland by a bridge, and can only be reached by ferry.
On a long strip of sand, tall grasses and beach huts of all colours follow one another, symbols of the island, adding to the poetic mood.
