Nomination for the Best Press Photographs of the Year

This morning I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email, which I give you an excerpt:

“Hello,

We congratulate you! you are part of the 5 nominated for the prize for the best press photography. You have been pre-selected by the members of the board of the French Press Club, it is already a great recognition of your peers!

Your photo will be showed and cited during the awards ceremony.

Your photo will be submitted to the jury Friday during a meeting where the winners will be chosen.

I would be in the running for the “29th Nuit de la Presse”, Thursday, June 25, with the joy of putting a spotlight on my work.

This photo, made during the days “I’m Charlie” earlier this year, is a beautiful message of solidarity and hope for a more tolerant world

NB: The girl on the picture said: I am French, Muslim, and I condemn this act.
