David Lynch worked for Kenzo

March 15, 2014 by Gregory Herpe

When David Lynch worked for Kenzo, one is entitled to expect a show flirting with strangeness. And then, it is hardly surprised to discover at the end of a winding podium, sculpture head of a screaming baby. After all, the director of Twin Peaks has accustomed us to worse. Fortunately, the Kenzo autumn-winter 2014-2015 Humberto Leon and Carol Lim collection is nothing deadly. Although shrouded in mystery, it relies on bright colors and layers of printing to distill a whole New York energy to the vast hall of the City of Fashion and Design (where I exposed myself last year, for that matter).

David Lynch continues to touch everything with morbid elegance, creativity from a psychopath shooted by acid & lemonade ( it’s still him who collects flies pinned on the fridge !) .

Last year, he also made Nine Inch Nails’ video ( came back haunted ), drew the label for a limited edition bottle of Dom Perignon, and exhibited his photos in Paris Photo, does not intend to time to go back to the movies ….

But with him, very clever who could predict his next artistic harm …
