MC Violaine and frisky Aurélie…

When someone says; “Hey! I go to England! “We do not necessarily think of Bristol.

And yet … this city located in the southwest of England on the River Avon, which is the natural boundary between the counties Gloucestershire and Somerset, has more than 400,000 inhabitants. It’s England’s sixth and the United Kingdom’s eighth most populous city.

A green city with more than 450 parks and gardens, a city dedicated to street art and graffiti (Banksy, a graffiti artist born and raised in Bristol, displays his art on publicly visible surfaces on many buildings). The city is famous for its music and film industries, it’s the birthplace of singer Nik Kershaw and actor Cary Grant, trip hop, and a home to bands as Tricky, Portishead and Massive Attack.

But mostly Bristol is a modern, energetic and exciting city. It’s a city that moves and inspires the creativity of people.

This is also the city where journalist Violaine Pondard and her partner Lionel Poulain have settled with their little daughter, to open a pop-up store with only French products.

Ten years ago I met Violaine for the first time in Vannes,(Bretagne, France) when she wrote some articles about me. It’s nice to see this sympathetic young journalist and her family back in a complete different setting with “Bonjour People”.

“Bonjour People”, is a new French pop-up store located in St. James Arcade in the Broadmead area. The store offers a wide variety of creations, designed or made in France. Accessories, fashion, jewelry, design, textile, cosmetics and very soon of course my pictures…

The pop-up store from Violaine and Lionel offers exclusively French Celtic quality products and it’s a must be to visit during your stay in Bristol.

Helped by their super intern Aurélie, and by their kindness, I have no doubt of their success. It’s a tribute to this young and friendly couple that has started a new professional and personal adventure abroad. One we can only envy!

So if you go to Bristol, check out this place to be and you will be delighted!!
